Vocal Looper

Spring 2020 Embedded Audio Programming

The Vocal Looper was my first experimentation with the Bela embedded computing platform.

This patch records an audio input from an external microphone, looping playback at a variable speed depending on the tempo set by the user. A tempo is set by averaging the time between success taps on an FSR sensor, which is also visually represented by an LED pulse. A soft pot sensor controlled the amount of delay added to the signal.

Whilst simple by design, this vocal looper produced interesting and unique audio effects, especially when experimenting with the the signal line delay.
