Bela Pocket Synth

Spring 2020 Embedded Audio Programming - Final Project

The Bela Pocket Synth is a multi-purpose motion-controlled sampler/looper instrument.

The user  had the ability to select from a list of preloaded samples, which will be displayed by an LCD screen, which could be triggered by tapping a piezo sensor on the bottom right of the instrument. The pitch of the sample could be modified by increasing/decreasing the distance of the user’s hand from the infrared sensor in the bottom left of the instrument.

The core functionality of this instrument is the ability to record and loop samples, across 3 channels, with each button acting as a place to store and playback a recording.
